KEEPING IT REAL - what a blast we had....

Well, it was a blast to the past celebrating Villa's 50th birthday party. A crowd showed up and what fun we had. Family and friends showed their stuff when it came to hula hooping, kept in the swing of things dancing, and much more. There were alot of us dressed up and even those who dressed to impress. We crowned the queen and king of the sock hop and even had the wana be "dream girls" perform " Stop in the name of love. We danced the night away until we could dance no more.

KEEPING IT REAL - Getting ready to celebrate...

Well, tomorrow is a big day. We are all gathering at Annie and LaBaron's house to get it ready for Villa's 50th birthday party on Saturday. From what I gather it will be about 80 people give or take.

The theme is going to be 50's so we are setting it up like a sock hop. We are going to be playing games, like the bubble gum, hula hoop, and dancing contest. We are all going to be dressing is 50's garb, that should be a hoot to see who is coming as who. I heard thru the grape vine that Elvis and James Dean may be there?

All the good old 50's food will be served, hot dogs, hamburgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, I'm thinking even shakes!!! It is going to be one tight night. So look for the pictures coming soon.

KEEPING IT REAL... Filled out FAFSA

We did it, we filled out the FASFA and what a long application it was... we have to send the application within 3 days because I had to get my own pin # and they have to verify who I am. For those who have done this, you know what I am talking about! We still have to apply for Cal Grant and joy to the thought of going through this process. I am hopeful that we will for the first time qualify for something "State". We have paid soooooo much into this system, it would be nice to receive a chunk back to help for her school at a time when we really need it.

Since all of you have received a "Valinda Production" video at one time or another as a gift, I have decided to start my own Production Company. I have had many of you tell me what a good job I have done, that I feel it is time to do it professionally. With my experience in photo and video software and my certification in Desktop Publishing I know it could be a stong business even in this economy due to the very fact that "memories need to be preserved".

KEEPING IT REAL - Having a nice family day...

Well, today was a nice day. We had a late start, and headed towards Moreno Valley to visit daddy and mommy. Calinia drove us there and she did a good job. Our visit was really a good visit and it was nice to just relax and enjoy the day. I love days like this it reminds me to spend my time with those I love.
